Sodachi (the "Service") lets families and close friends share photos and enjoy them as photobooks. The Service is private and available only to invited family members. This policy explains what information the Service collects and how it is handled.
The Service collects the following information.
・Email address: collected so you can sign in. If you sign in with Google or LINE, we receive the email address registered with that account. If you sign in by email, we collect the address you enter.
・Display name: registered by you, so that family members can tell who is who.
・Photos and related information: the photos you upload, the comments (captions) you add to them, and the capture date (either recorded in the photo or set by you).
・Group information: the name of your family group, its members, and the contents of your photobooks.
The Service does not use any analytics tools or advertising trackers.
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes.
・Providing the Service (storing and displaying photos, creating and viewing photobooks, managing family groups)
・Sending sign-in links
・Sending notification emails to family members when a new photobook is created
We do not use it for any other purpose. We never use it for advertising, and we never sell it to third parties.
The Service relies on the following external services. Information is stored and processed by them only to the extent needed for these purposes.
・Supabase: sign-in authentication and storage of non-photo data (display names, group information, photobook structure, and so on).
・Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3): storage of the photos themselves, in a private storage area in the Tokyo region.
・Vercel: hosting of the Service.
・Resend: delivery of notification and sign-in emails.
・Google / LINE: identity verification when you use social sign-in.
Except as required by law, we do not share your information with any other third parties.
Photos are kept in a private storage area and are never published on the open internet. Displaying a photo uses a temporary, limited link issued for that moment, so third parties cannot reach your photos by guessing an address.
Photobooks offer a "share link" feature, which is disabled by default (family members only). Only if you explicitly enable sharing can someone who knows the link view that photobook. You can disable sharing again at any time.
The Service uses only the cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Photos and data are retained until you delete them, or until you stop using the Service.
You can delete a photo at any time within the Service; deleting it also erases the underlying file from storage.
If you would like your account and associated information deleted, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
The Service is intended for families storing and sharing photos of their children. Such photos are uploaded by parents themselves or by people their family has invited, and are handled only within that private group. The Service never collects information directly from children.
We may update this policy as needed. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the last updated date.
